Inmate Visitor Program

 

Purpose of Visits

This directive sets forth the policy and guidelines for uniform operation of the Visitor Program which gives inmates opportunities for personal contact with friends and relatives. The directive is intended to provide such guidance for Department staff, inmates and visitors to correctional facilities under the jurisdiction of the Department of Correctional Services in New York State.
